Can I delete one of the axles in a three-axle trailer model? I need to simulate a two-axle trailer.

With Virtual CRASH, it is extremely simple to modify vehicle models. Let's start with this Freightliner. We're going to attach our trailer to this model.

Go to the list of trailers in the vehicle database, and drag and drop your trailer onto your tractor. You will be asked " Do you want to replace current data?" Press "No." Note, you can also use "pick leader" option in the trailer menu in the left side control panel.

You should now see your trailer attached to the tractor. You will need to adjust the hitch position using the trailer menu in the left side control panel:

Next, with your trailer object selected, go to the axles menu in the left side control panel. In this example, we are going to delete axle 3. Simply left-click on "axle 3" in the axles list. Next press "remove."

You should now see that the third axle has been removed.

You may now wish to clean up your trailer's mesh (see links here); you can remove unneeded components and adjust the wheel wells.
