I created my terrain mesh in Rhino, exported to 3DS format, and I'm using it in Virtual CRASH 3, but I can't seem to disable ground reflections? How do I disable reflections?

Because of some subtle differences in the way material properties are defined in 3ds files compared to dxf files, there is one additional step required to ensure ground reflections are disabled.

Using the faces selection type, select all of the polygons in your terrain mesh and open the faces menu in the left side control panel. You'll notice the material type is set to "-".

Simply set the material type to "terrain" and this will fix the problem.

Setting the faces material type to "terrain" for the 3ds mesh will now allow the Ground Reflectance toggle to work correctly.
